Since my initial release of The Rat Race, a few players and reviewers have discovered minor typos in the game. These errors were, alas, inevitable since its author was also its one and only original test player. As noted in the corollaries to Finagle's Third Law, anyone asked to check something for errors will fail to spot them, whereas anyone who turns up with unsolicited advice will spot those errors immediately. As such, I owe considerable gratitude to the unsolicited reports from all of my unpaid testers, and especially to one BeezoWeldar on YouTube. In the meantime, I have also discovered how to manipulate some menu text, the whereabouts of which I was previously unable to determine.

Changes from The Rat Race Version 1.00 in Version 1.01:

Two redundancy errors ("want want" and "to to") have been eliminated.

One news report has now been properly punctuated where it was not before (Thanks, BeezoWeldar!)

One improper reference to "Mr. Poochyfud" has been changed to "Mr. Kibble" as originally intended.

Courtesy of my new discovery, "PP Cost" has been changed to "MP Cost" in one of the descriptive menus.

A few minor stylistic inconsistencies between a character's line of dialogue have been resolved.

Remaining issues:

The cause of the occasional "Black Screen Of Death" transitional crash which, according to my sources, afflicted players of the original game as well, remains unidentified. All I can recommend is saving the game regularly and often.

Despite my best efforts, punctuation after variables in dialogue may still occasionally be shifted to the next line.

Compact versions of The Rat Race may still draw "bad ROM" complaints from the emulator.
